The common rooms are large spaces where Tenants can meet, socialize or sit down with family and friends. Tenants can book a common room for a private functions. As ‘common rooms’ they are not closed to other Tenants – even when a private function is taking place. As Castle Arms property, they are also occassionally in use by management for events and meetings.
The person making the booking is responsible for:
- setting up for their own function
- putting away furniture as required
- any damages caused by them or their guests
- leaving the common room and kitchen area in a clean condition – cleaning and putting away dishes
- sweeping the floors
- managing any excessive noise
- behaviour of all guests at all times

Common room guidelines:
- Visitors can participate in common room activities, if accompanied by a Tenant.
- Children are welcome; however, they’re not to wander outside the room without adult supervision.
- No pets are allowed – except service animals.
- No smoking.
- Proposed functions can’t have a commercial purpose.
- Common rooms can’t be booked as meeting spaces for other community groups.
- Private functions can’t overlap with previously scheduled programs that are open to all Tenants.
- No items may be borrowed from the common rooms.
- Beverages must be kept in the common rooms.
- A notice will be posted on the common room door the day before any event with the date and time.
