Transportation

The Assante Bus is a pre-scheduled door-to-door transportation service offered to Castle Arms Tenants. Once assessed as eligible, Tenants can sign up for outings and shopping trips. This service is not able to accommodate medical appointments. The bus can carry up to six seated passengers and two wheelchairs. 

The Assante Bus is a shared transportation program serving seniors living in Cassellholme, as well as Castle Arms, Keiller Mackay and Corpus Christi apartment buildings.

The bus provides Castle Arms Tenants with scheduled access to:

• organized outings and special events in and around the region
• scheduled group errands such as trips to the bank, grocery stores and other shopping

In addition to very regular shopping trips, separate events are advertised on the bulletin boards. Most events also appear in the newsletter and on the monthly calendar. Keep an eye out for events such as: casino day trips, fall colours and Christmas light tours, summer fish and chips trips, concerts, public park events and so much more.
